Pastor Caleb, along with 6 chaperones and 31 students, flew out early Saturday 6/28 morning for the Mexicali short-term mission trip. The team will be serving the local community through various programs, and they’ve been working hard over the past few months to prepare for this mission.
Thank you so much for supporting this team—both financially and through your prayers. They truly need your continued prayer covering throughout the week.
Pastor Caleb has prepared the following daily prayer requests—please join us in lifting them up each day.
Please join us in praying for:
Saturday 6/28 – Pray for safe travels and for God to protect us as we serve Him. (Psalm 121:7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. 8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
Sunday 6/29 – Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in all our hearts and give us strength, as we serve the Lord. (Ephesians 3:16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,)
Monday 6/30 – Pray that the Father would draw unbelievers to Himself. (John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.)
Tuesday 7/1 – Pray against any attacks of the enemy, that we would fight them with God’s Word and promises. (Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.)
Wednesday 7/2 – Pray for us to depend on the Lord and not our own strength to do the work God has for us. (2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God.
Thursday 7/3 – Pray for us to continue having the joy of the Lord as we serve Him, so we can show those we’re serving the love of Jesus. (Nehemiah 8:10b “The joy of the LORD is your strength.”)
Friday 7/4 – Pray for us to have a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude for all the blessings God has given us, as we serve those who have less than us. (1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.)
Thank you again for lifting them up. We can’t wait to see how God moves through this trip!
